Email delivery via Amazon SES
We use Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), provided by Amazon Web Services, Inc., 410 Terry Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109, USA ("AWS"), to send emails (e.g. game notifications, password resets, registration confirmations).
When sending an email, your email address and the content of the message are transmitted to AWS servers. AWS processes this data on our behalf and solely for the purpose of email delivery. The data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reliable email delivery) and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract fulfillment, e.g. game notifications). A data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) has been concluded with AWS.
AWS may process the data on servers within the EU (Frankfurt). To the extent that data is transferred to the USA, this is done on the basis of the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. For more information, please see the AWS privacy policy: https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/.
4. Analytics and Advertising
Matomo (web analytics)
This website uses Matomo, an open-source software for the statistical analysis of visitor access. We host Matomo ourselves on our own server within the European Union. The data collected does not leave our servers and is not passed on to third parties.
Matomo does not use cookies. Among other things, it processes the pages you access, the referring page (referrer), the browser and operating system you use, your approximate geographic origin down to city level and the time and duration of your visit. For the approximate location, your IP address is briefly evaluated and then stored in shortened (anonymised) form, so that the stored address can no longer be attributed to a specific person.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of usage behaviour in order to improve our services in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. As Matomo works without cookies and with an anonymised IP address, no consent is required. Matomo respects the "Do Not Track" setting of your browser; if this is activated, your visit is not recorded.
Advertising banners (TauscheBanner)
On some pages we display advertising banners via our own service TauscheBanner (tauschebanner.de). For this, your browser loads a script from tauschebanner.de that retrieves the banners to be shown. We operate this service ourselves on a server within the European Union.
TauscheBanner does not use cookies and does not track your behaviour across websites. When the banners are retrieved, only the technically necessary connection data are transmitted, in particular your IP address and the referring page. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in financing and promoting our services in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
